Biography

Caden Allitt (b. 2005) has performed with the ETSBOA 2021 & 2023 All-East Ensembles and received the honor to perform in the 2023 Tennessee Band Association’s Honors Recital. He has worked with many on-campus ensembles, including the String Project, Tennessee Tech Choir & Chorale, and the Tennessee Tech Flute Studio, and has been performing as a pit musician for the Tennessee Tech Musical Theater Department. In 2025, Caden performed Decompressed Sphere by Brad Meyer during the 50th anniversary Percussive Arts Society International Conference Collegiate Level Concert Snare Drum Competition.  

While with his band Common Interest, Caden released an album titled TBH and played at music festivals including New Ground Festival and MUSICFEST. He has also performed multiple times for Knox Rock’s P.O.T.S., a fundraiser to raise money for Dysautonomia International.  

Caden has arranged multiple pieces for percussion ensemble and solo marimba, including Antonin Dvorak’s Symphony No. 9 in E minor, “From the New World”, Mvmt. III and Frédéric Chopin’s Nocturne Op. 9 No. 1. He has also been hired by Hardin Valley Academy’s Advanced Theater Department to write underscoring for their rendition of Hansel and Gretel in 2024.

Caden Allitt is currently a student at Tennessee Tech University studying percussion under Jayce Clemons, Dr. Colin Hill, Dr. Colton Morris, and Joe Frank Williams. He was taught by Clifton Brock and Hugh Reeves while attending Hardin Valley Academy and received private instruction from Zachary Elgin and Dr. Keith Brown.
